Devine’s Jug Band features singer Meredith Axelrod, a performer whose 1910—style vaudeville delivery reminds you of a what live music must have been like in great—grandma’s day. Kally Price is a blues singer from New Orleans who will remind you of Billie Holiday, vulnerable, soulful, and rich in the blues. Both singers will be performing songs you’ve probably never heard, even if you’re expert in early jazz and mid—century blues.
Devine’s Jug Band was conceived and pieced together one night in 2007 by drummer Pete Devine (a member of Gaucho, Mal Sharpe’s Jazz Band, and founding member of Bo Grumpus) . The outfit sports an All—star solid gang of four fine musicians: Jimmy Sweetwater on harmonica and vocals, Meredith Axelrod on guitar and vocals, […]

Single-minded mind

Here’s a quick excerpt
Not too long ago, a few of us chipped in to buy a galfriend a mani/pedi at a swanky spa as a birthday gift. She’s been going through a tough time lately; we wanted to spoil her.
After thanking us, she said, “Guess I’ll have to wait to use it for when I’m seeing someone.”
No, no and, in case I’m not making myself clear, NO!
That’s the kind of thinking that happens to singles sometimes. The underlying message is: I’m not worth it.
Ugh!
Of course, I’ve been guilty of that, too. Letting the sheets go a little longer before being washed because “no one’s been sharing my bed, so …”
Or not bothering to shave my legs or polish my toes because who’ll see, anyway?
Or eating a dinner standing in front of the fridge of whatever little odds and ends I can find in there.
Why do we often deny ourselves life’s little pleasures (or […]

Here’s a quick excerpt
E-commerce is touted as one of the most viable online business opportunities on the Web today. In comparison to traditional brick and mortar businesses, e-commerce site requires minimal start-up cost and is relatively low-risk. However that does not imply creating an e-commerce site is a simple process, neither does it guarantee your future success. The purpose of this article is to walk you through the necessary steps and plans you would need in order to set up a successful e-commerce site.
Un-earth Your Niche
The very first thing to do is find your niche. Examine your hobbies and interests for potential business ideas. If you love soccer, consider selling soccer supplies or team uniforms, online. Focusing on your expertise or something you have great passion for would give you an advantage over competitors who do not have in-depth knowledge of that niche.
Research Your Niche

Daddy calls every single day to check on us and of course to speak to DJ.
Here’s a recent phone call that pretty much sealed the deal and is probably a major reason why Daddy will soon retire from the Military.
Daddy: Hey son, how ya doing?DJ: I’m fine daddy. Where are you?Daddy: I’m at work.DJ: At work in California or at work in Iraq?Daddy: I’m at work in California.DJ: Ok, I’ll see you later daddy. I love you.Daddy to Mommy: Did you just hear that?Mommy to Daddy: I sure did.
Sidebar: To my knowledge our son hasn’t really been affected negatively by his daddy’s deployments. We pretty much talked all the time, saw him on the webcam, pictures, etc..
For our son to ask this very serious question was mind blowing and quite interesting to say the least.
He never ceases to amaze us.
Please visit my […]

Meilleure Expérience Web Pour Les Clients De Sprint

Text Messaging on Qantas Flights

Text Messaging on Qantas Flights
Those taking domestic flights on Qantas can enjoy sending and receiving text messages as well as emails sometime in the near future. The trial lasting from April till January next year involves a Boeing 767 that has been fitted with the necessary hardware to facilitate this exchange of information, with Airbus A330 jets to receive similar treatment later this year. Such modifications will enable cell phones and portable devices to be used without causing any interference to the aircraft systems or ground communication network. You won’t be able to make or receive voice calls though, but the thought of Mario Karting with another person on the other end of the aisle is very, very enticing.
